Ambassadors
Interligne is honoured to welcome Matthew Halse, Florence Gagnon, Patrice Lavoie, Isabelle Corriveau, Marc-Antoine Coulombe and PL Cloutier to its team of ambassadors for the year 2018. Many thanks to all of them for their contribution to the visibility of Interligne and The Big Thrill.
Matthew Halse
ViiV Healthcare Manager, Community Relations and Communication
Born in Toronto, Matthew is an LGBTQ+ activist who fights for, amongst other issues, the wellbeing of those living with HIV. For him, Interligne is “a line of defence that provides support where it’s desperately needed. It’s a permanent friend: imagine a place where you can always call when you need a helping hand.”
Matthew will join us on October 19 to ensure the sustainability of Interligne’s services to the LGBTQ+ communities, thus always helping more people. “The Big Thrill, beyond raising important funds, is an opportunity to drive a conversation on LGBT mental health and access to care”, he added. Thank you, Matthew!

Florence Gagnon
Founder and president of Lez Spread The Word
Patrice Lavoie
Spokesperson and Corporate Director of Public Affaires at Loto-Québec
Originally from Charlevoix, Patrice is the Spokesperson and Corporate Director of Public Affairs at Loto-Québec. Like many members of the LGBTQ+ communities, Patrice experienced negative emotions when he started to feel that he was gay. Years later, for him, being ambassador for The Big Thrill is his way of supporting the communities, especially those who don’t feel comfortable to be themselves or to live their difference to the fullest. “Get involved with a dynamic organization that offers support to LGBTQ+ communities and helps them feel better, that helps them be the best of themselves? I’m proudly in!”
On October 19, you have the chance to take part in this cause. Patrice urges you. “Interligne is a dependable organization and a pillar of the LGBTQ+ communities. I invite you to take part in a wonderful evening – under the banners of fun and inclusion – for a good cause. A necessary cause that makes a difference in many people’s lives.”
Isabelle Corriveau and Marc-Antoine Coulombe
Owners of the bars Palco and Renard
In the heart of the village you will find Bar Renard, of which Isabelle Corriveau and Marc-Antoine Coulombe are the owners. With entrepreneurship in their bones, they believe in the importance of being involved with Interligne and to do their part to support the LGBTQ+ communities. Marc-Antoine explains that self-acceptance remains a significant challenge for many members of the LGBTQ+ communities, while Isabelle raises “the importance of having positive and inspiring LGBTQ+ role models.”
By joining our team, Marc-Antoine and Isabelle hope to “inspire others to go farther in their personal and professional journey and to help ensure the sustainability of Interligne in order to continue offering help”. On October 19th, they invite you to act on your convictions and join us at The Big Thrill!
PL Cloutier
Youtuber and TV Host
Host and Youtuber PL Cloutier shared his coming out story on his YouTube channel in 2015. Since then, he regularly discusses LGBTQ+-related themes on his channel and has become a model for many young people who have questions about their sexual orientation. For him, it is essential to continue “to educate the new generations that make up Quebec society” in order to improve our understanding of and openness to LGBTQ+ realities.
PL has joined Interligne’s team of ambassadors to contribute to the visibility of our organization, present at all times and for everyone, “even when the situation is urgent and an attentive ear cannot wait”. On October 19, PL Cloutier will be at The Big Thrill with us to enjoy “a good glass of wine” for the cause. Thank you, PL!
It is with great pleasure that we announce the presence of Sophie Paradis as your host of The Big Thrill’s welcome cocktail party. Beginning at 8 p.m., Nicolas Ouellet, Gaël Comtois, Peggy Sue and DJ Montana will take over for a colourful animation of this evening of indulgence and surprises!
