Our contingent at Pride 2017 in Montréal

Activities in Montréal

Sunday August 12 – The L March

Join us for the L March, a peaceful demonstration for the feminisation of queer spaces. Women from all walks of life will gather at 4:45 p.m. in Place Emilie-Gamelin before kicking off a one-hour march along the streets of Montréal.  Together, let’s highlight the crucial role women have within the gender and sexually diverse communities. Want to join us and our co-spokesperson Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay? Send a message to confirming your attendance.

Wednesday August 15 – Sophie’s Choices and Confit-danse

7:00 p.m. at Le Cocktail Bar
For Literary Pride, our co-spokesperson Sophie Paradis will lead Sophie’s Choices and will welcome four authors who will deliver a reading from their works. Then, you will be able to take part in discussions on these works and a book signing. We’ll be there and hope to see you there too!

Interligne will carry on the evening at Espace Public for Espace Fierté – Confit-danse with Pauline Eazy. Starting at 8:00 p.m., humour and secrets await you for an evening full of charm. A portion of the profits from this event, organized by Espace Public, will be donated to Interligne.

Saturday August 18 – Community Day

On this day, community groups, businesses, as well as social and sporting clubs will set up booths on Saint-Catherine East, between Saint-Hubert and Papineau streets. We will be there to answer any questions you may have. We will also be selling « Je suis non binaire » t-shirts created by Les 3 sex* and 20 % of profits will help fund Interligne and our mission.

Sunday August 19 – Pride Parade

As always, Interligne will have its own contingent for the Montréal Pride Parade. It’s not too late to sign up and join us by writing to Come march with us and our spokespersons Sophie Paradis and Simon Boulerice in celebration of Pride! Find us between 11:30 a.m. and noon for a truly memorable parade. Zuruba, an afro-Brazilian group of percussionists, will also be joining us. After the parade, Interligne invites you to join us for a well-deserved pizza dinner.

Activities in Sherbrooke, Ottawa and Québec

Pride continues until September for Interligne! Come visit our booths to learn more about our services and support us by buying a 3 sex*« Je suis non binaire » t-shirt from their #portetacause campaign. Saturday August 25, we will be in Sherbrooke for Community Day and the Fière la fête parade. On Sunday August 26, join us in Ottawa for the Capital Pride Community Day. Finally, on Saturday September 1, the Interligne booth makes its way to Québec City to participate in the Fête Arc-en-ciel celebrations. We hope to see you there!
