The Landing

The Landing is a Students' Union service at the University of Alberta main campus that offers support for gender and sexual diversity. We strive to promote gender equity on a broad scale, and advocate for the safety and acceptance of individuals of all genders and sexualities in campus life. As part of this mandate, we support LGBTQ2S+ communities and individuals as well as their supporters, friends, family and loved ones.

The LGBTQ Wellness Centre

The Centre aims to provide quality and timely care to the transgender, non-binary and gender diverse persons in northern Alberta. The Centre focuses on crisis support, outreach to individuals seeking healthcare, education opportunities for family doctors and other healthcare providers, as well as engagement with grassroots organization and other professionals who are interested in or are currently providing care.

The Native Council of Prince Edward Island

The Native Council of Prince Edward Island is a community of Indigenous people living off-reserve in traditional Mi’kmaq territory. NCPEI is the self-governing authority for all off-reserve Indigenous living on Epekwitk (PEI).

The Outloud Foundation for Community LGBTQ Supports and Services

Outloud first opened its doors in March 2014 as a safe, inclusive space for youth who feel different to connect with each other and allies, away from the intense bullying and high suicide rates still prevalent in LGBTQ youth. Mia and her father Terry created Outloud Foundation for Community LGBTQ Supports and Services, an Alberta non-profit incorporation, started the twice-monthly adult-supervised Youth meetings, growing to support all ages including Juniors plus PFLAG St. Albert, connected professional resources, and expanded to speaking programs in schools and businesses.

The Red Door

For more than 20 years The Red Door has been providing confidential sexual health services, health education, and health promotion to youth ages 13-30. We are proud to provide this support without judgement, in a safe environment complete with an expert staff and trained volunteers. As a non-profit, community-based organization The Red Door serves more than 1,000 clients annually, many of whom do not have a family doctor.
